KERIKS

Privacy policy

Last updated September 18, 2026

Draft, pending legal review.

KERIKS is a service operated by Flemming Consulting Group (“we”, “us”). An organization such as a church uses KERIKS to send one important message to the people it serves. Each person gets a private link, reads the message in their own language, and can ask questions about it. This policy explains what information passes through the service, why, and what your choices are.

Who this applies to

Recipients are people who receive a message through KERIKS. Senders are the organizations, and the staff at those organizations, who use KERIKS to send messages. Visitors are anyone who reads this website or asks about a pilot.

What we collect

Contact details supplied by the organization. If you are a recipient, the organization you belong to is the one that supplied your contact information to KERIKS: your name, your phone number and/or email address, your preferred language and message length, and the group the organization placed you in. We do not collect this information from you directly, and we do not buy it from anyone.

Questions and messages sent through the service. When you open your private link and type a question, we store the question, the answer the message assistant gave, and any answer the organization’s office adds. The organization that sent the message can see your questions, your name, and your group, so its staff can answer you and understand what people are asking.

Delivery and usage records. We record whether a message link was sent, when it was first and last opened, and how many times, so the sender knows the message arrived. We keep short-lived technical records (such as an IP address) to prevent abuse and to limit how often the service can be called.

Information senders and visitors give us. Senders give us a name, an email address and a password to sign in. Visitors who request a pilot give us a name, an organization, an email address and an approximate congregation size.

How we use it

To deliver the message to you in your language and preferred length; to answer your questions from the sender’s own material; to show the sender and its office what was asked, so they can answer what the assistant could not; to protect the service from abuse; and to reply to people who ask about a pilot. Questions are processed by an artificial-intelligence model in order to answer them and to group them for the sender’s report. The model is instructed to answer only from the material the sender provided.

Text messages

If your organization sends you a text message through KERIKS, it contains a private link to your message. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on how often your organization sends announcements.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from the service, or by contacting the organization that added you. After you opt out you will not receive further text messages from that organization through KERIKS. You can also contact us at the address below and we will help.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We do not use your questions to train artificial-intelligence models. The message assistant never speaks as your organization or as a person; every reply is labeled as an automated assistant.

Who can see it

The organization that sent you a message can see your contact details, whether you opened the message, and the questions you asked. The companies that host the service for us (a web host, a database host, an artificial-intelligence provider, and, when texting is enabled, a messaging carrier) process data on our behalf under contracts that limit what they may do with it. We disclose information when the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.

How data is stored and for how long

Data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in the United States and is transmitted over encrypted connections. Private links use long, random codes that cannot be guessed and are marked so search engines do not index them. Message contents and questions are not written to log files.

We keep messages, questions and delivery records for as long as the sending organization keeps its account, so its staff can refer back to them, and delete them within 90 days after the organization closes its account or asks us to remove them. Contact details are removed when the organization deletes them or closes its account. Pilot requests are kept for up to two years. Short-lived technical records used to prevent abuse are removed automatically within a few days.

Your choices

You can ask the organization that added you to correct or delete your contact information, or to stop sending you messages. You can reply STOP to any text message. You can contact us directly and we will pass your request to the organization or act on it ourselves where we are able to. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct or delete your information; we will honor those requests.

Children

KERIKS is meant for adults. Organizations should not add contact details for anyone under 13. If we learn that we hold such information, we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new date, and organizations using the service will be told.
